Frequently asked questions

Ready for the ultimate African safari? Find answers to common questions about bookings, payments, packing and what to expect on your adventure.

What is included in a Niroskos safari package?
Our packages include shared or private transport, park entry fees, an experienced, licensed guide and accommodation as described. Most packages are full board (breakfast, lunch and dinner). International flights and travel insurance are not included unless explicitly stated.
When is the best time to visit the Maasai Mara?
The Great Migration river crossings typically occur from July to October, making this the peak season. However, the Mara offers excellent wildlife year-round. The dry seasons (January–March and June–October) provide the best game-viewing conditions with less vegetation.
Can I customise my safari itinerary?
Yes. All our tours can be tailored to your travel dates, group size, interests and budget. Contact us with your requirements and our safari specialists will design a bespoke itinerary for you.
How do I book a tour?
Browse our tour listings, select your preferred package, choose a date and number of travellers, then proceed to checkout. You can pay by credit or debit card, M-Pesa or cryptocurrency. A booking confirmation with full details will be sent to your email immediately.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express and other major credit and debit cards, as well as M-Pesa for mobile payments and select cryptocurrencies. All card transactions are processed securely through our payment gateway.
What is your cancellation and refund policy?
Cancellations made 30 or more days before departure receive a full refund minus any non-refundable third-party fees. Cancellations 15–29 days before departure receive a 50% refund. Cancellations within 14 days of departure are non-refundable. See our Payments & Refunds page for full details.
Are your guides experienced and licensed?
All our guides hold Kenya Professional Safari Guides Association (KPSGA) certification and have extensive knowledge of local wildlife, ecosystems and culture. Many of our senior guides have 10+ years of field experience.
What should I pack for a safari?
Neutral-coloured lightweight clothing (khaki, beige, olive), a warm layer for early morning drives, sunscreen, insect repellent, a wide-brimmed hat, binoculars and a camera. Avoid bright colours and strong perfumes. Detailed packing lists are provided in your booking confirmation.
Is it safe to go on safari?
Safari travel is generally very safe when undertaken with a reputable operator. Our guides follow strict safety protocols in all national parks and reserves. We recommend comprehensive travel insurance covering medical evacuation. Check current travel advisories for your destination before departure.
Do you offer group discounts?
Yes. Groups of 6 or more travellers qualify for discounted rates on most packages. Contact us directly for a group quote and we will tailor a package to suit your group's needs and budget.
