About Samburu National Reserve

Samburu National Reserve, in northern Kenya, is a distinctive safari destination famed for its arid landscapes, rugged terrain and wildlife seldom seen elsewhere in the country. The reserve is home to the 'Samburu Special Five': Grevy's zebra, the reticulated giraffe, the Somali ostrich, the Beisa oryx and the gerenuk. Elephants are plentiful and frequently observed bathing in the Ewaso Nyiro River, the reserve's lifeline. Predators such as lions, leopards and cheetahs also roam freely here, making it an excellent safari location. Visitors can enjoy the rich culture of the Samburu people, who live in harmony with nature in this region.
