About Samburu National Reserve

Samburu National Reserve, situated in northern Kenya, is a unique safari destination noted for its arid landscapes, rugged terrain and wildlife not commonly seen elsewhere in the country. The reserve shelters the 'Samburu Special Five': Grevy's zebra, the reticulated giraffe, the Somali ostrich, the Beisa oryx and the gerenuk. Elephants are abundant, often observed bathing in the Ewaso Nyiro River, the reserve's lifeline. Predators such as lions, leopards and cheetahs roam freely here, making it a prime safari spot. Visitors can discover the rich culture of the Samburu people, who live in close harmony with nature.
