About Amboseli National Park

Amboseli National Park, often called 'The Land of Giants', is renowned for its spectacular views of Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa's highest peak, and for its large herds of free-roaming elephants. Located in southern Kenya, near the border with Tanzania, the park covers over 390 square kilometres of diverse ecosystems, including open plains, acacia woodlands, swamps and the dry bed of Lake Amboseli. The park is home to a wide range of wildlife, including lions, cheetahs, zebras, giraffes and more than 400 bird species. Amboseli offers unrivalled opportunities for photographers, with elephants silhouetted against the snow-capped peaks of Mount Kilimanjaro. Visitors can also explore Maasai villages and learn about their fascinating culture and sustainable coexistence with wildlife.
