About Samburu National Reserve

Samburu National Reserve, in northern Kenya, is a unique safari destination noted for its arid landscapes, rugged terrain and wildlife rarely found elsewhere in the country. The reserve hosts the 'Samburu Special Five': Grevy's zebra, the reticulated giraffe, the Somali ostrich, the Beisa oryx and the gerenuk. Elephants are common and frequently seen bathing in the Ewaso Nyiro River, the reserve's lifeline. Predators such as lions, leopards and cheetahs roam freely here as well, making it an excellent safari location. Visitors can experience the rich culture of the Samburu people, who live in harmony with nature in this region.
