About Amboseli National Park

Amboseli National Park, often called 'The Land of Giants', is renowned for its spectacular views of Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa's highest peak, and its large herds of free-roaming elephants. Located in southern Kenya near the Tanzanian border, the park covers over 390 square kilometres of varied ecosystems, including open plains, acacia woodlands, swamps and the dry bed of Lake Amboseli. The park supports a rich diversity of wildlife, including lions, cheetahs, zebras, giraffes and more than 400 bird species. Amboseli offers unrivalled photographic opportunities, with elephants silhouetted against Kilimanjaro's snow-capped peaks.
