Start with a very early pickup from your Nairobi hotel, guesthouse or airport area, then begin the drive to Maasai Mara National Reserve. Your guide will brief you on the day's plan as you travel through scenic countryside and sections of the Great Rift Valley.
Arrive at Maasai Mara National Reserve and enjoy a guided game drive across the open savanna plains. The reserve is famed for its abundant wildlife, frequent big-cat sightings, sweeping landscapes and the seasonal wildebeest migration across the Mara.
Look out for lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, buffalo, antelope, wildebeest, hyenas and many bird species while your guide provides insights into the Mara ecosystem and animal behaviour.
Take a lunch break during the day at a suitable restaurant, in the lodge area or at an agreed stop depending on timing and routing. Meals and drinks are paid for directly unless stated otherwise in your selected option.
If time permits, an optional Maasai village visit can be arranged for guests interested in learning about local traditions, homestead life, beadwork, dances and the community's connection to the Maasai Mara region. Any village fees are payable directly unless included in your selected option.
After the safari experience, begin the return journey to Nairobi. You will be dropped off at your hotel, private residence, or your preferred central pick-up point late in the evening, depending on traffic and routing.
