About Lake Nakuru National Park

Lake Nakuru National Park, in Kenya’s Great Rift Valley, is a breathtaking sanctuary renowned for its spectacular birdlife and diverse ecosystems. The park centres on Lake Nakuru, a shallow alkaline lake often scattered with pink flamingos, creating one of nature’s most mesmerising spectacles. It supports more than 400 bird species, including pelicans, cormorants and African fish eagles. The park also serves as a refuge for endangered black and white rhinos, as well as Rothschild giraffes, lions, leopards and buffalo.
