Overview
The fastest way into Kenya's most iconic wildlife arena: a scheduled dawn flight from Nairobi Wilson Airport carries you over the Great Rift Valley and onto a Maasai Mara airstrip in roughly 45 to 60 minutes — the five‑hour road journey each way becomes a short scenic hop. A safari 4x4 meets the aircraft, giving you about seven hours inside the reserve: a long morning game drive when predators are most active, a picnic lunch in the bush, and an afternoon sweep of the plains back to the airstrip. Lion, elephant, giraffe, buffalo, cheetah and large herds of plains game are commonly seen, and between July and October the wildebeest migration is often in residence — though every sighting is wild and never guaranteed. The late-afternoon flight has you back at Wilson by early evening. Reserve entrance fees, return scheduled flights, airstrip game drives, picnic lunch and Nairobi hotel transfers are included. Luggage on safari flights is limited to 15 kg per person in soft bags.
