Amboseli National Park - The Land of Giants

Amboseli National Park, often called 'The Land of Giants', is famed for its spectacular views of Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest peak, and for its large herds of free‑roaming elephants. Located in southern Kenya near the Tanzanian border, the park covers over 390 square kilometres of varied habitats including open plains, acacia woodland, swamps and the dry bed of Lake Amboseli. The park supports a wide array of wildlife — lions, cheetahs, zebras, giraffes and more than 400 bird species. Amboseli provides unrivalled photographic opportunities, with elephants framed against Kilimanjaro’s snow‑topped peaks. Visitors may also visit Maasai villages to learn about their culture and sustainable coexistence with wildlife.
