Samburu National Reserve - Home of the Samburu Special Five

Samburu National Reserve, located in northern Kenya, is a unique safari destination noted for its arid landscapes, rugged terrain and wildlife not commonly found elsewhere in the country. The reserve is home to the 'Samburu Special Five': Grevy's zebra, the reticulated giraffe, the Somali ostrich, the Beisa oryx and the gerenuk. Elephants are numerous and are often seen bathing in the Ewaso Nyiro River, the lifeline of the reserve. Predators such as lions, leopards and cheetahs also roam freely here, making it an excellent place for safari adventures. Visitors can experience the rich culture of the Samburu people, who live harmoniously with nature in this region.
