Amboseli National Park - The Land of Giants

Amboseli National Park, often called 'The Land of Giants', is famed for its spectacular views of Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest peak, and its large herds of free‑roaming elephants. Situated in southern Kenya near the Tanzanian border, the park covers over 390 square kilometres of diverse habitats including open plains, acacia woodlands, swamps and the dry bed of Lake Amboseli. The park is home to a wide variety of wildlife — lions, cheetahs, zebras, giraffes and over 400 bird species. Amboseli provides outstanding photographic opportunities, with elephants silhouetted against Kilimanjaro’s snow‑capped summits. Visitors can also visit Maasai villages to learn about their culture and sustainable coexistence with wildlife.
